Shot for Radio Hula, a small Hawaii-based vintage brand that takes old Hawaiian fabrics and modernizes them into new pieces. The concept stemmed from a desire to root the clothing in something bigger than styling — to connect the fabric back to the land it came from. I styled my model in a muʻumuʻu and shot her dancing across the lava rocks, embodying Pele, the Hawaiian goddess of lava and fire
